Born in Hyderabad (Sind-Pakistan) on 15 October 1929, Wadhwaney has been a sports journalist for more than 60 years. He played cricket for Lucknow district and held a record of double century in the All-India Sheesh Mahal Tournament. He received prizes, including some by the Pime Minister, Indira Gandhi.
