DR. HARAPRASAD PARICHA PATNAIK (b. 1953) is a noted poet, a translator and a critic from Orissa. Known for his subtle irony, wit and lyricism, he has five collections of poems in Oriya and has edited and translated two collections in English. He has got his Ph.D. Degree in English in Comparative and Creative Writing (poetry). A former Secretary of Orissa Sahitya Akademi, at present he teaches in the P.G. Department of English, Samanta Chandra Sekhar (Autonomous) College, Puri, Orissa.

DR. SWAMI ARUPANANDA

DR. SWAMI ARUPANANDA (b. 1964) is a saint poet who believes in the philosophy of Vaishnavism. The range of his interest is wider. A lyricist of repute he is a philanthropist, a social activist, a healer of dreadful diseases and a propagator of Kalki Tatwa. He has to his credit 23 books in 4 different languages. Two are in Sanskrit, four in Hindi, fourteen in Odiya and three in English. Most of his works exhibit a blending of tradition and modernity. He has obtained his Ph.D. on “The Role of Consciousness and Environmental Pollution: Its Impact on the Zodiac” from University of Colombo and D.Sc. on “Alternate Medicine” from World Science Congress, Colombo. Songs for Kanha is his maiden book in English. Presently he resides in his Ashrams in Bhubaneshwar (Khurda district) and Biridi (Jagatsinghpur district) in Odisha.
