Maheen Usmani has worked for the print as well as the electronic media. At Geo television channel, she was a Special Correspondent who made feature reports on health, education, minority issues, culture, human rights, environment, gender inequality, video portals and labor and immigration. Maheen was awarded the Best News Package Prize for Geo worldwide for her feature on video portals and was a runner up for a feature on the trials of bhatta (brick kiln) workers. Maheen has worked at The News and Daily Dawn as a correspondent. Maheen went to school at the Convent and Jesus and Mary and Karachi Grammar School. This is her first book.
