Operation Sindoor and its Aftermath
Operation Sindoor and its Aftermath
India’s Operation Sindoor, in response to the Pahalgam terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir, marked a decisive inflection point in India-Pakistan strategic dynamics. Articulating a new security doctrine, the Indian armed forces deployed advanced capabilities to strike the terrorist infrastructure and military installations in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. This was the most extensive military exchange between the two countries since the 1971 India-Pakistan war. The robust military campaign also underscored diplomatic challenges for India’s foreign policy establishment. In this curated volume, experts from the Observer Research Foundation offer incisive analyses of the strategic, military, and diplomatic facets of developments in April-May 2025.
