Journey in India reflects several experiences lived by Alberto A. Guani as Ambassador of Uruguay to India.

Alberto A. Guani
Alberto A. Guani is a seasoned diplomat who, before joining the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uruguay, studied to become an English teacher while simultaneously pursuing journalism.
His family emigrated from Italy, and his great-grandparents were involved in the construction of Punta del Este, often referred to as the Monaco of South America.
His grandfather became one of the first lawyers in Uruguay and later served his country in diplomacy in various European countries, at the League of Nations, as Foreign Minister, and as Vice President of Uruguay.
His father was also a diplomat.
The author has served his country in East Germany, reunified Germany, the United Nations, Brazil, Germany as Ambassador, and India as Ambassador.
He has completed 40 years as a diplomat, and India is his final posting before retirement.
