Banooduth Boolauky
Banooduth Boolauky, lovingly known as Mr Datta in India, was a spiritual teacher whose life was devoted to yoga, meditation, and selfless service. Born in Mauritius, he co-founded an ashram at La Fayette with Yogini Shubh Veer, where they combined yoga, meditation, and spiritual healing to help patients suffering from chronic illnesses. In the early 1990s, he moved to Ganeshpuri in Maharashtra, dedicating himself to seva and intense spiritual practice under the inspiration of the late Swami Nityananda. A compassionate teacher, he spent years educating village children and guiding seekers in yoga and meditation. Later, he continued his quiet spiritual work in Dehra Dun. Mr Datta passed away peacefully in Mauritius on December 14, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of simplicity, healing and unwavering spiritual devotion.
